Layout tab seems not working properly

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi, I'm trying to configure Base 3 template, but under the "LAYOUT" tab I see a "...please wait..." message but nothing happens, no matter how long I wait.

Please look at attached screenshot.

Any help?
Thank you.

If you view the console tab in the Chrome web tools does it show an error?

Does theme magic work?

Hi Paul, thanks for reply.

The only message that appears in the Console tab of Chrome Dev Tools is: "Consider using 'dppx' units instead of 'dpi', as in CSS 'dpi' means dots-per-CSS-inch, not dots-per-physical-inch, so does not correspond to the actual 'dpi' of a screen. In media query expression: only screen and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 2), only screen and (min-resolution: 144dpi)".

How can I check if theme magic works ?

You should see a button marked "theme magic" in the template admin

Do you have any previous index.html or index.php file in the directory?

Yes, I have an index.html files that redirects via js to a subdir containing the previous/actual version of the website, waiting for the new one (the one I'm developing with Joomlabamboo) will be ready.

That could be the problem - an index.hml file can cause problems
Are you able to disable that for a quick test?

It worked! Thank you.
One question: I would like to have the Main section between two side columns (one to the left, one to the right), can I simply switch positions of "main" into "sidebar-1" and "sidebar-1" into "main", or there's a better way..?

Thank you for all your support, Paul!

Hi

You would need to assign the layout for that to certain pages -

so you would need to create a new template style with that layout selected

one more question (sorry).

Now I have the following layout:

sidebar-1 | main | sidebar-2

each on with equal with (ie. Bootstrap with = 4)
can I set diwwerent widths?
for example: main 6 and each sidebar 3 ?
or main 8 and sidebars 2 ?

thanks in advance.

Hi

No probs - you can resize the position widths in this template using the responsive layout section

This article will point you in the right direction
