The top position in New Lifestyle does not work for me.

In the new Lifestyle template demo which is located here:

demo.joomlabamboo.com/index.php?theme=feb14

It has Blog, Contact Us, My Account, More

the black menu at the top what menu type and what position is it in?

I do not know what to put in for menu type (for instance footer menu)

I tried top, top1, top4 for positions and none of them worked. Please help.

Thank you very much. :(

Hi Elizabeth,

Its published to top4 and its using the verytop menu

Not sure if this is the issue but it may be the menu assignment type you are having problems with

If its using the same assignment type as the quickstart any page that is selected will NOT show the module

I have a simular problem with the top positions. It shows in the layout of the template section (top1, top2 etc) but i can't choose this positions while creating a new module.

Hi

If you type top1 or top2 in the position box in the module does that work?

Yes, it works fine, was under the impression it had to be in the modules position listing,

Thanks Paul

Yes it should be in that list - not quite sure why you don't see it

I had the same problems. Perhaps someone at Joomla Bamboo should look at this.. I was using the Lifestyles template. Finally position Top4 worked.

Not sure if your problem was the same but I'll take a look shortly and pass on what I find to the developers together with your feedback

Hi Elizabeth,

Looking at your question - I think its because only top4 is published in the quickstart template layout tab so for any other position to display that position would need to be enabled.

If you check out this article

www.joomlabamboo.com/blog/how-to-joomla/how-to-resize-position-widths-in-t3-templates

it covers what I mean e.g the top4 position is the only one enabled so publishing a module to any other top position and the module will not display
