Mobile- large logo and module issues.

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

nccfc.net

Hello folks. I am having issues on iPhones and I assume other smart phones where my logo is huge on mobile devices and I cannot see the actual image links. Also, my bottom row of image links (grid 9, 10, and 11 positions) aren't stacking like the others are.

Last thing (I think) I am still trying to trouble shoot is on my smartphone (in vertical position) my link overlays are showing up wider than the icon and the icons aren't centered.

I imagine these are template and/or theme settings I haven't addressed, but I've been playing with a lot of the settings with no luck so far.

Thanks in advance to Paul. You're always a great help!

With the position it goes full width with means the image has room to expand to near its full size

I also suggest you check out the site in say firefox and IE regarding the logo size in normal device widths

Other grid position widths

Check the widths for these positions in the T3 responsive layout section

You need to make them full width on mobiles

Can you confirm what you mean by link overlays?

Do you mean a zentools module?

The overlays on the first image links are wider than the image itself on my iPhone. The overly is the title. You can seem them on the home page.

Is the module option of making the images fill the container width not an option?

I'll have to check, but if it is, I'd only want it to happen on mobile since it's working just fine on the desktop.

It applies mostly on mobile and small tablet device widths

Its one of those things you need to view / test it to see if it works visually

Paul, something that has eluded me: When I go to template manager there is a choice for Nebula default and Nebula modules.

I never knew what the differences are, but I always choose modules.

To make sure I am in the correct place, I assume you mean the "responsive layout" tab for layouts in the template manager.

A T3 template style can have any layout assigned to it

With it being a quickstart the default will mean default template and also it will also be using the default layout file

The modules template style uses the modules layout file - this layout file doesn't contain the content area

The templates are also assigned to particular menu items so any template that is assigned and isn't the default template will be displayed

A default template is marked by a star in the template manager styles page

Not quite sure I follow you on this. I just want to make sure that I am selecting the correct one, default or modules, when I am making modifications. So far it seems choosing modules has show me affected changes.

Yet, when I went into the responsive layout section of the template manager (modules) and modified the mobile layout so that grid 9, 10, and 11 were in a simple vertical stack, that change was not reflected on my iPhone even after clearing website data on the phone.

I'll keep toying around

Thanks.

Ok can you attach a screenshot of the template style/manager page so I can see the default template and any other templates listed

If any templates have a tick by them they are assigned

I will get that screen shot to you. In the meantime do you know why I am having such a problem with the logo blocking the other elements when I use it on an iPhone or other mobile device; mostly in vertical position, but also in horizontal.

The problem I am having is that the logo just floats above everything and is too large. I can't really use the site very well or navigate.

The logo on the nebula demo doesn't have this problem. It doesn't float. It just scrolls up with the rest of the page.

That's what I want.

Here's the image, but I frankly don't understand what the difference is between the two (default and modules). Joomla documentation doesn't make that totally clear.

This though isn't as big of a concern as the problem I am having with the hovering logo blocking too much content on mobile devices.

I'm assuming you have modules assigned to the home page?

With the default template displaying on all pages of the site that modules isn't assigned to
