Remove 'padding-bottom' from '.mean-menu-open .mean-nav'

Hi,

I seem to be getting this padding being applied to the bottom of the mobile menu - not sure if this is a template issue or a configuration task that I need to implement correctly (I'm using a modified Base4 theme)?

Working on a local installation, latest Buildr, win 10, latest firefox, 1920x1080.

...apart from the bottom-margin issue, the menu height shrinks when the mobile menu is triggered (the menu height was set at 70px in the template admin):

Not sure if this is a glitch?!

I believe this is intentional in the design to reduce the height

Hi Paul,

Okay, so then how would I keep the menu height the same across all device widths (because I don't want it changing)?

Also, from the first post, do you know why there is a margin-bottom and how would I remove that too?

Hi Aadil,

Padding bottom is part of the design I believe

Its a little harder with buildr to replicate users set up using the quickstart as modules can be dragged to different rows

Are you able to add a link for the site?

Hi Paul,

I see. This is a local installation though so no live link at this point.
It's the base4 theme and the standard menu & mobile menu are in the standard menu row.

I used the toggle-menu - if that'd what you're looking for?

Hi Aadil,

I can't seem to replicate this locally I'm afraid

Are you able to add a link to this thread when its live?

Hi Paul,

Which result can't be replicated - the menu height shrinking or the margin-bottom?

Sure, to make things easier I'll add a link when live.

The padding below I can't see when I duplicate the layout and settings

Okay sure, I'll try and get this up soon.

In terms of the menu height shrinking - is there a solid way around this that will keep the menu the same height on all devices (was it really designed to shrink at smaller widths because, to my knowledge, the previous Base3 template doesn't do this)?

I really like to try and make the design consistent across all viewing mediums and thought most people would attempt to do the same.

Hi Aadil,

Height becomes more important on a mobile - regarding other users I don't know of any other comments about this

I think it would be a case of adjusting a media query but I'd need a link to confirm

Hi Paul,

Okay sure, will report back when site is live.

In terms of other users not reporting anything, I can sort of understand that - I don't believe the large majority of template users test everything (mainly because it's a lot of work and they don't really need to if they're not using all the features).
From back when I joined, I know I started testing stuff and I'd always pick up bugs, inconsistencies, etc. although, some of the time things didn't work because of my lack of understanding but there were many periods where I'd find bugs pop up.

Hi Aadil,

At the moment we are in change over period as the new developers get up to speed with the framework and template coding so its more things breaking/leaning than tweaking at the moment

With the testing we test to see if stuff works - its very hard to test bootstrap in comparison to other template styling.

Its also a factor for us that most users seem to avoid adding bootstrap to their designs - bootstrap only seems to crop up when users use third party extensions and need to load certain Bootstrap assets

Thanks for everything you have spotted :)

Hi Paul,

Appreciate it but no thanks necessary. The only thing I do ask though, is to not forget about all the issues or potential bugs that I post about because it takes quite a bit off time to test as well as report back here each time (and also, I need a good working product).

Hi Paul,

An update:
I will hopefully be posting a live link soon but I've found that the bottom-margin issue (mentioned above) in the mobile menu, is also present in the off-canvas menu on your demo site for base4:
