Article keeps showing on front page

I created an article (articledoc), then i created a menu item and pointed to the single article when I configured the menu item.

I also have a "Banner" module, which is in the position of "Banner".

When I click on Home menu, the home page shows up with just the menu and the banner at /index.php.

When I click on the new menu item, the banner still shows up and the article shows up on the bottom of the page with page /index.php/home/articledoc

What is going on?

Hi Mike,

Its a bit hard to say without seeing the site

Not having content on the home page could be that you have the frontpage article/component area set to hide
