How-to steps?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

So I loaded up Joomla 3.6.2 and installed the Build.r template and all plugins, modules that go along with it.

Now I'm in the Joomla's Template:EditStyle page and am having trouble with the templates. Namely:

1. Do I choose a built-in settings and click LOAD SAVED SETTINGS?
2. Under the General Settings/Style, what are the Presets for? They have the same names as those next to the LOAD SAVED SETTINGS button.
3. I chose allpositions template, pressed the LOAD SAVED SETTINGS button, then clicked on the Logo row to edit it. Under 'Logo Row Settings', I changed the Background Image to a logo I uploaded, then I press the Save button. But it doesn't show up? Thought I'd start out on an easy one, like the logo, but it's throwing me for a loop.

Any help is appreciated! I looked through the How-Tos in the docs, but they mostly all say "Article In Progress".

Hi OvalPiston :)

Are you working along side a quickstart package e.g. you have the real site and a quickstart as two separate sites?

The logo you would add as a module via module manager to the logo position

I would suggest installing a quickstart alongside the real site as its a good reference when working

How do I have another site running alongside the site I'm working on?

Thanks, I'll check those out. How do I run a test alongside my dev site? Just put the whole thing in a sub-folder off of my main folder?

Yes I think you can do that

The quickstart contains the Joomla core files so it needs an empty folder
