Blankly - Classes Not Working & Reasoning Behind bottom-margins

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

I tried to implement the classes under scaffolding, under 'The following classes remove margins on items at certain screensizes .', and they weren't working when I inserted it into the module class suffix input (I tried both 'zen-no-margins' & 'row-margin-none').

However, the old module class suffix 'nomargin' from the old ZGF worked (it cleared the 'margin-bottom: 30px;' from the class 'moduletable')...the before and after are below:

...but it doesn't remove 'margin-bottom: 15px' from the class 'zg-col' (is there any easy way to remove this without getting into custom.css or modifying the template styling options):

Lastly, please let me know why the above bottom-margins are applied because it only seems to increase the bottom part of the containers disproportionately (as I use paragraphs & zenshortcode layouts which already include bottom margins/padding)?

Hi,

Okay, I think I figured out how to set the margins & padding in the template admin, so as to get consistency (so ignore that from above).

...but I still think there is an issue with the classes above not being applied (or maybe I'm not using it correctly - I'm not sure yet)?!

Hi Paul,

Nope, this is the local version that is being redone ( on WAMP).

"removed"

Thanks Paul,

From above: (I tried both 'zen-no-margins' & 'row-margin-none').

I put the above in the module class suffix sections on my local wamp site.

Hi Aadil,

I added these both to a localhost site and I can see the margin applying

margin: 0;

Hi Paul,

I will try adding it again but it didn't work before (added it to a module that had 'Slideshow CK' - can't remember, it was in either 'banner' or 'grid1' position when I tried).

It's possible with the row setting it may not make any difference - I can see it applying after inspecting the css but the row I used it has no margin to remove

I've not used that module so I guess it would be possible that the added class isn't specific enough

Hi Aadil,

Applying no margin to the row style from within the template settings will null the margins on the columns inside the rows.

The classes that you tried should work but I guess it sounds like there is some other css overriding it. So we will need to see a link to see what's doing that.

Cheers
