Template Changes Not Displaying Front-End

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi Guys,

I installed the Quickstart package for Buildr on this redesign project. I'm unable to change the template colours on the front-end despite being able to change the layout options:

65.99.240.118/~tkcvhewc/index.php

- cleared the cache
- fixed permissions
- fixed database issues
- no errors are appearing and am aware that I have images that are not yet correct.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi Steve,

Any security extensions being used?

Do you get the same if caching is disabling?

Cheers

I was having the same issue and found there was an error in the CSS because I have accidentally put @333 instead of #333 for a color.

Might be a good idea for the framework to have some more obvious error notices.

Hi Paul,

I actually have the Joomla caching off. I did install AdminTools to ensure that my permissions could be set correctly. I also have tried in different browsers just in case there was a browser caching issue.

Thanks Troy. I took a look at my settings in the template and my Primary and Secondary colours appear to be set properly. I'll continue to look at some options a little later ... supper duty calls.

Hi,

Did this problem get resolved? I'm having the same issue and just wondered if you can shed any light on it?

Many Thanks

Hi Heather,

There are a few like this but I think it was an incorrect value added to a colour selection

Do you have errors displaying in the browser console window?

This was the same issue I had - we had accidentally put a @333333 instead of #333333. Very easy to do.

Troy had mentioned the @ and # swap which is what I was looking for in trying to resolve the issue. After reviewing my colours I wasn't able to find anything out of place. In my case though, I had an extra 2 on the end of the #222222 which was causing the issue.

Rob found it after I submitted a ticket and he had a look. As Paul said, they are working on providing a better error reporting system for this.

Thanks everyone for the help.
