Logo next to menu

Hi

I'd really like to position a logo to the immediate left of the menu on the following site:

csbuildingservices.branchoutwebsites.com/index.php

I've tried putting the logo in the logo position and the menu in the 'search' position but the menu doesn't work there.

I've tried putting the logo and the menu modules in the menu position and they just stack vertically.

Any suggestions? Is it possible to have the logo as part of the menu itself?

Update - I have an image in the HOME Menu Item - just need to remove the text 'HOME' unless there is another way to do this with template layout.

Do you have a link for the site?

sorry I missed the link

create a new menu for your 'home' menu item, removing it from the menu displayed on your site but still allowing it to be set as your homepage.

so moving it's from one menu to another but the new "home" menu isn't actually displayed on the site

Think that works

Sorry I'm lost.

You want me to create a new menu instead of the one I'm using now. And move the menu items from the one I'm using now to the new one? And assign it to the same module position? It doesn't sound to me like I've got that right.

Just the home link to a new menu - nothing else

Don't assign the menu with home to any page

Sorted. Set Add Menu Title to No. No need to much around with module positions. Thanks

Hi there,

I would like to do the same.

1) I could not follow the solution: Was it to have to menus one Home including the logo picture, but not assigned to a module position and then one menu assigned to menu?

2) Is it also possible with a own content module with a text logo and a similar setup?

Thanks a lot in advance.

There are two bits

1. One how to have the home not show on the main menu

This requires the home menu link to be on its own menu and module but not displayed on the site

The menu you want to display minus the home is then displayed as required

With the menu set up as required its a case of assigning the logo module as required

Hi Paul,

thanks a lot.
Works fine, but the logo makes the div for breaking news disappear. (one a side note: anyone implementing it, should spend some time thinking about link structure when using clean urls).

I should be able in the template.php file to change search with menu, right?

Is there already a documentation on custom positions in ZG4. It was there for T3, but I seem to not be able to find either of them.

Thanks in advance
cheers

Do you have a link for the site and the logo?

Sorry not quite sure what you are wanting to do with the search and the menu? - swap the positions?

Yes, this is the link: seminar.de.w00d0e9a.kasserver.com/index.php/logo

I alredy tried with Firebug and know that I have to remove two paddings, to move the logo up.

Yes, I would try to either swap the positions or I would try to add a custom position prior to the menu position.

Thanks a lot!

Right so paddings would be

.item-101 .moduletable {padding:0 20px;}

.zen-menu .item-101 .zen-menu-module {padding-top:0;}
