Until now, we've always had to have a menu item for a ZT2 'readmore' to actually go to the content. Does the new router system address this issue? We' re trying to set up a way for authors to write articles (fed to a ZT2 filtered page) without having to create a menu item because 1) they'll screw it up, and 2) I can't find a way to permit authors to access some menus but not others.

I must admit this is something we have not tried

We did try it on another version but it didn't work and then the feature was removed and then added back

So in essence at the moment we don't know at the moment - it was something I wanted to look at but we've not got round to it

I had a read of this over the weekend

It would appear the routing will change again with Joomla 4 or perhaps evolve might be a better word

Have you tried the new router?

I don't think the router makes any difference for the item id problem just makes the url read better

With your problem can you use category links instead?

Then the users would not need to add menu links although it does make module assignment a bit clunky

Haven't really tried it because I really want any solution to be coded in (or for zentools to add a 'create menu item' into its parameters, thus solving the problem).

As to communication, we are divided by a common language, with some of what I read and listen to from the UK spanning a range from from quaintly different to unintelligible . Then all those extra vowels.... I expect the distribution of Scrabble tiles to be different in the UK than here in the US. I have the French game here (lots of i's, e's and u's) and would like to find a complete box of the Welsh version.

With the routing problems, Joomla has had it would be a gamble even using a component
