Zentools 2 not saving master or custom css

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi there,
I'm having an issue where it looks like it won't save master or custom css.

I'm using today's download of Zentools 2 on J3.8.

When I click the master or custom css button the button changes to "Compiling less to css" but it never complets. Just sits at that message.

The status message never goes away either

[Custom file not yet created.
Click the Create custom css button below to create a css file that can be used to specifically target this module.]

Seems like a permissions issue but I'm not sure where to look.

hmm it could be permissions or a js conflict

I have seen some plugins running in the background which is breaking templates

Do you see anything in the browser console tab when trying to save?

Cheers

I guess I should have thought of that.

Looks like some jquery stuff is not being found. See attached. Thank you

I can confirm that the jquery.min.js file does exist where it's being looked for.

You have the zentools2 plugin installed?

Have you tried re-installing the module?

I usually install the free version of JQueryEasy to suppress conflicts and make sure needed files load (loading via cdn or from a particular location you may have created). The free version is rather powerful.

Hello there, I could still use some help.

I don't see any jquery conflict using dev tools.

One thing I am seeing are some 404 from the admin side.

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

ofoam.org/newsite/administrator/index.php?option=com_ajax&plugin=zentools2&format=json&option=com_ajax&plugin=zentools2&cmd=get_k2_categories&data=k2_categories&id=273

ofoam.org/newsite/administrator/index.php?option=com_ajax&plugin=zentools2&format=json&option=com_ajax&plugin=zentools2&cmd=get_k2_categories&data=k2_categories&id=273

ofoam.org/newsite/administrator/?option=com_ajax&plugin=zentools2&format=raw

I did a google search and found this which helped me.
joomla.stackexchange.com/questions/16450/joomla-3-5-com-ajax-not-found

com_ajax was gone.
