Using a small video as the intro image for banners

Hey guys! I've looked and saw that my question isn't a new one but I haven't found an answer yet. (Reference: www.joomlabamboo.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&view=topic&catid=651&id=111599&Itemid=215#119026)

I want to take a small mp4 video and use it instead of a static image in my banners.

Here's the site I'm currently working on (take2.blackwellhealthcare.com) and you'll see that the second item is a gif. I thought that might look ok, but as you get to larger and larger screens it's horrible.

Any ideas? I tried K2 but it also didn't work as it just displayed the {mp4remote} tags and the path to the video, then put the video in the article.

Hi

Are you wanting to mix video and images or just video on its own?

Cheers

I would like the option, but would be happy with just video.

Instead of the intro image for an article being an image, I would like to use a small loopable mp4 video. It looks cleaner than a gift when expanded.

A different one for each article.

Hi

I've tried this using the slideshow hero layout and I don't think it is possible to have full width videos

Both in displaying full width and controlling the play of the video

Slideshow hero is the four buttons, image and text layout in the banner

I will double check with the developers but that may not be today

Cheers

The videos don't need to be controlled. They would autoplay and repeat. They are all loopable videos that are just meant to be a background image that's not static.

You could try a normal slideshow layout in the module and add video to drag and drop and add iframe code to articles

but using a full width template might be problematic
