Feature request: Author in lightbox

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I would like to have more options for the lightbox. It would be great to be able to construct the lightbox in the same way as the "Item layout".

At the minute I would need the author in the lightbox with a link to his profile. Any chance this could be added to the next release?

At the moment the developers are flat out working on template and framework updates

I added it to our tracker when you posted but I can't confirm if we are going to add this feature yet or no I'm afraid

Thanks. Is there a way I can add that myself in a Joomla override so I wont loose it on updates?

You can override anything from the modules tmpl folder in the same way as any other Joomla template override.

The lightbox is using magnific: dimsemenov.com/plugins/magnific-popup/

Hi,

The lightbox content comes from a javascript file

media/mod_zentools2/js/lightbox/magnific.js

The php file that passes the information is in

modules/mod_zentools2/tmpl/blocks/lightbox.php

Unfortunately, it may not be an easy modification.

Regards,

Rob

Thanks, but that is not the file I need. lightbox.php only says which content gets displayed or not displayed but not what the content actually is or where the content comes from, there is no db query or anything that could alter the displayed content. Or am I missing a line there?

The content is pushed to the lightbox using the file that I mentioned previously. blocks/lightbox.php

The database queries are all dependant on the source.
Those files can all be found in the includes folder named in the same way as the source the module is set to use.

The author element is accessed in the view files with
$item->author

How do I make an override for modules\mod_zentools2\includes\seblod.php?

You can't override include files, only the view files.

The includes are needed by the system to push the content to the view.

You would need to clone the module, change its name and then modify the files.
