Is there a quick way to get ZT2 to observe zengrid framework theme?

I am using a carousel with prev/next buttons and they are owl-buttons according to programming visible in firebug. So I was wondering if there was a plugin or setting that I am missing to tell zentools2 to default to buildr template theme settings for button, etc.
