Zentools2 Slideshow Layout - navigation arrows

I'm using the Slideshow layout and would like the Navigation Arrows to be 'arrows' overlaid on the image. At the moment, through the module settings, I can only seem to get them appearing as buttons below the image.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

I'm using Responsive2 template.
Slideshow theme: none
Pagination: none
Slideshow counter: off
Navigation arrows: on
Previous text: <
Next text: >
