Hi, I have images gallery in Grid layout and I am wondering, if there way to have images load more quicker? After page opens it shows blank space first and then images starts loading up one by one. While other galleries I tested to use (DropPics and sigplus for example) show images right away, as page loaded? Is it by design and can I override that effect? Its like it waits until page loaded then start loading images, but one by one.

For example here is Zentools module loaded into article:

And here example of another type of gallery, loaded already by the time page loaded.

I see the second page taking longer to load while the first page the images load very quickly one after another

I don't really see any real difference between the two

In answer to your question I don't think that it is possible

I'm assuming the template style is the same for both pages?

If it isn't you could check to see if lazy load is enabled in the effects tab

Hi Paul, I think I found it, in Module Layout Settings, there is check box Fade item in as User scroll, had it checked. Disabled it, and it changed loading behaviour.
Just for future reference, what is settings for, how to us it? in my mind it was for long galleries as lazy load effect?

Regarding settings - I was referring to the actual settings tab in the template

It has performance settings and ability to turn on scripts and add extra scripts to a site
