How to enable bootstrap for buttons?

I load bootstrap via the template option but the buttons are still styled by theme.flat-bs2.css instaed, e.g. btn-primary looks just like any other button, which is very confusing in forms, e.g. the standard Joomla contact form.There are very weird defenitions in the css overriding each other:
