google fonts

I can't seem to figure out how to add a Google font family for the body in the resonsive2 template. Are there instructions somewhere you could point me to? The template is set to the aquarium theme.

When I'm in the template manager if I try and change the Body on the fonts panel to a Google font it always reverts to Open Sans.

I would like to be able to use the Droid family
<link href='fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Droid+Serif:400,700,400italic,700italic' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

Thank you for any help.

I wasn't really clear on how to add it.

Can you tell me how the format is suppose to be?

Droid Serif:400:700:400italic:700italic:latin

I just noticed another problem, just for a second I see an error.
I managed to take a screen shot attached.

I see now I can't even change the base fonts from 14px to 16px.

Another note: the text in the template panel reads:
"The settings on this panel determine the font display for body, heading, navigation and logo tags on your site. After making changes to the settings below it is necessary to compile less to css by using the compile less button in the toolbar.

I've did this before but now I don't see the compile less button in the tool bar or I'm not sure what tool bar as I don't see it. If I go to the Theme panel I can see the save and compile there, when I use that I get the error.

This has always worked for me as I have tried a couple of different fonts.

I had Admintools Pro installed in the beginning but when I got this template I disabled the Admintools Plugins. They are still disabled.

Hi

How are the permissions looking on the site?

From a different post -

1. Using Admintools Pro and it's blocking the scripts.

docs.joomlabamboo.com/zen-grid-framework-4/overview/Using-ZGFv4-themes-with-Admintools-pro.html

2. Your servers execution time isn't high enough to allow for the processing of the Less.

stackoverflow.com/questions/16171132/how-to-increase-maximum-execution-time-in-php

3. Your server memory isn't high enough to allow you to process the less.

docs.joomlabamboo.com/getting-started/how-to-check-php-memory-limit-for-joomla-3

4. There is an error in one of the less variables. You may need to look in the inspector to see this.

I'm assuming you haven't edited a LESS file so 2 or 3 could also be the problem

After I made this post I saw the thread about the execution time and server memory. I think what you pointed out is one of the problems as I have not edited any of the less files. It's probably either 2 or 3 that you mentioned.

Thanks, I'll report back what I find out on the server settings.

It took a while but the problem I was having is solved.

To get the template changes to compile properly it took a few changes:
Disable AdminTools
Enable suPHP
Be logged into the frontend
And the last stopper was that before switching to suPHP I had the ftp settings in the Global Configuration set up. Rob noticed them, removed the settings and now all is good.
