Formatting in Sidebar1 and Sidebar2

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I want to put text in the Sidebar1 (or Sidebar2) position which has already been formatted. (Originally it was going to be a page but it works better on the template as a sidebar. I put it in a custom HTML module and it's formatted properly when I check the HTML view. But the formatting doesn't show in the template.

The other weird thing (at least to me) is that when I select the Sidebar1 (or 2) from the template options in the Template Manager, it moves them down into the custom area and then seems to refer to them there rather than in their original list under the template name.

I tried using the Articles in a Module function with the same results. Neither of the modules recognize the CSS

I don't want to post the link to the site as it's on a private server but will send it to an email address if you wish.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hi There,

Its a bit tricky to troubleshoot without seeing the site

Are you able to create a ticket for the link?

Cheers

Thanks for the ticket - I've just added the text content from the forum thread to add context of the issue

I'm sorry... I'm a newbie on this forum. What does this mean? I want to do this right so it's not difficult for you to get what you need. I can accomplish this by formatting it myself but it's not ideal.

Hi

Sorry I wasn't clear it probably won't be me looking at the ticket so for either Rob or Anthony it provides information about the issue

With a ticket its best to include a reference either to the forum thread and / or what the issue is

I have heard nothing more from this, although it's certainly possible that it's somewhere I don't know to look. Thx, P
