Add style font

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,
the main font in the template is the Open Sans: 300: Latin, I would like to add other styles for the same font (bold - Open Sans: 700, italic - Open Sans: 400 italic …).
How to add them?
Add them to the one that already exists (separated by a comma)?

Thank you

Hi

Not entirely sure what you mean - you can only add one google font to a setting

...hmmm... ok, you wrote that only one google font is possible to a setting, but this setting contains all the family styles (bold - Open Sans: 700, italic - Open Sans: 400 italic …)?

Sorry adding a comma wouldn't work -

its only used in font family when the fonts are not available on a machine - the browser tries the first font and then goes through the list looking for a font the browser can use

While with google it will load the first font

You can certainly have different fonts but only google font per heading, navigation etc

For that you would need to add a css override via some custom css if it was different a weight or sub type from the font added in the template settings

It would depend on what you were targeting

If the value you adding for headings was a font weight of 300px then for a h3 tag it would be

h3 {font-weight:600} - adding it to your custom styling

... Paul I think there has been a misunderstanding since the beginning of the message (due to my bad English)
So if in the options of the template the Open Sans font family is selected it's the whole font family that is loaded (with all styles: 400, 600, 700).
I thought that only fonts that were specified in body (or heading) fields were loaded…

ok, now it's clear... thank you ;)

... what do you mean by sub families / variants? Do you mean italic for example?
