Turning on accordion in the offcanvas menu

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi!

In my site I want to have my menu placed in the "offcanvas" module position. I have therefore published a menu there, and it works fine. However, I am not able to turn the menu into an accordion menu.

When I used the ordinary "menu" module position, the offcanvas menu (which then only got activated on mobile devices) worked as an accordion menu. But now, as the menu is directly placed in the "offcanvas" it does not show as accordion neither for desktop nor mobiles.

Of course, I have tried turning on the enable accordion option in the template. Also tried to type "accordion" in the menu module which now is placed in the offcanvas position, but this does not work.

My question is therefore what must I do to enable "accordion" for my offcanvas menu?

Hi,

I'm not currently seeing anything in the offcanvas position.

Is the module assigned to that position and published?

Regards,

Hi!

Sorry, it was not published on the home page of the site. Now you can check.
Now there is published an ordinary menu module on the offcanvas position, but it is not displayed as accordion.

Can you try adding the "accordion" class to the module class suffix

Hi!

I have tried to type "accordion" in the module class suffix option in the module, but then the menu is merely collapsed into the six top menu levels. However, there is no accordion effect when clicking on the menu options.

I have tried typing "accordion" also in the menu class suffix field of the menu module, with no effect.

Is there any other things I could try?

Hi

Can you try having one parent/toggle link as a separator menu link type and have the accordion class added

I can't see the accordion class name at the moment in the module source code

Hi!

Sorry for late reply. I have managed to find a solution that works okay!
I just placed a menu in the "menu" module position, and defined a high NAV collapse value.

So this issue can be marked as solved :)
