Hi Guys,

I'm wondering if there an easy way to remove the slideshow AND the blank space behind it once the slideshow is disabled through the template settings?

I'm not quite sure what you are referring to on the template - do you have a link and a screenshot?

Sorry for the confusion. When I remove the slideshow from a page I am left with blank space rather than the main content moving to the top of the page. For instance, in other templates when you remove a slideshow from a module position the content will shift up. I am assuming that this is not possible because the slideshow is driven from the template rather than the module position.

I'm hoping I did a better job of explaining myself this time.

Yep

Its required really for the design to work as the menu, logo, social and frontpage sidebar sit on it

Hi Janice,

You would upload the images to a folder via media manager

In the template settings click the effects tab and chose "background slideshow"

Also install the latest template version

got the error:

I have one slide showing but the folder now has 5 images. How do make the slide show images recognized?

I have found there is a delay in updates and images showing, perhaps I need to wait?

I found the best way to get things set-up is to use the Quickstart package as there is a little bit of learning curve when it comes to several elements of the template.

I would follow Steve's advice - using a quickstart installation as a learning tool is very useful - it speeds up both workflow and reduces frustration

Comparing settings on the quickstart and then copying them in the real site

Thanks, will review and I do have experience with other Joomla sites using T3, just understanding the new Zen Grid Framework v4 (ZGF4) is challenging.

It would be great to have some better instruction, beyond reading forums. A video of someone building a simple site to better understand the process would be most helpful.
