Set up a few single item gallery with lightbox in zentools.
When calling next image there is a very short bright white flash before it appears.
Thought it must be a setting for the transition between images but can't find it.
Or is it a background setting somewhere?
PS Testing site on a localhost.

How big are the image files (file size) showing in the lightbox?

I think its the delay on loading the image

Do you get the same if you view the zentools demo site?

Sorry I should confirm are you using zentools v1?

Hi Paul

I just started out and downloaded the template with extensions, assumed the download would be the most recent version but i notice now its version 1
On the demosite 1 the lightbox turns also white also between 2 images but it takes a bit longer so there is no flash. I also suppose its a loading thing.

Anyway, installed version 2 of zentools ofcourse, btw nice interface good job!
Result flash wise is a lot better as it stays dark which is a good thing for a lightbox.

Btw the images are default 1200 px wide and 800 high.
Thinking of using this default on desktop and widescreens because I dont like upsampling so much. But I will have to test this once the site is live so I can view it also on tablet and phone. Side Q: how does it handle Retina screens?

But now there is another issue.
I depublished the galleries made with the version 1 and build new ones with version 2.
There are 3 instances, all in single item image source with link set to lightbox and referring to 3 different folders, placed each instance in its own grid (ie 1-3).
They show up fine on the page reveiling the 1st image in the respective folder.
But when I click the lightbox opens and shows the images of instance 3 instead of instance 1 or 2. Can't seem to fix this, checked settings twice, reloaded page but alas.

Any thoughts

Just as an aside upsampling is a bad in most cases and if possible avoided

Regarding Retina are we referring to zentools rather than the template?

Regarding the gallery question -

Are all images showing so its an ordering issue or is it just the one image showing?

Hi Paul,

More in general as Retina have a much greater pixel count than the old ipad or a lot of others tablets..Eg my Asus Eeepad has a pixelcount of 1200 and my Ipad 2048, so the last one resembles a good size desktop monitor. Or is this no issue as the breakpoint refers to the amount of pixels so it would break later or not at all on the modern ipad. Once I have read that when preparing images for display on retina you can add the @2 or something like that to the imagename.

There is only one image showing in the gallery which is the right one from the right folder.
Once clicked for the lightbox images from another folder are presented, and that is the one I set up first before setting up the other two. Both show the images from the first one in the lightbox but do present the right image from the right folder before clicking.
Checked the setting but I can't find anything wrong.
Maybe there is a glitch somewhere.
I decided to start from scratch with the testversion on a local drive which will be good practice for this newbie anyway. If the issue is not resolved I'll come back for assistance.
