New ZGF4 templates and Rasa2 Question

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Bamboo,

Look on joomla.jlnarducci.com/about-jln/articles-jln.html (or see pic below) and notice that the panel button overlaps the side bar (sidebar1). This happens on all (two) pages where the sidebar is present. I believe that the sidebar is positioned about 40-41 px too high. All software is up to date (Rasa2 v1.1 etc.).

I just updated Rasa2 by just installing the package. Since the only file I changed was the custom.css one, nothing changed except the fixes and changes noted in the Change Log. I have three styles for Rasa2 - FrontPage, JLNPage and Subpages all prefixed with Rasa2-.

If I look at the ZGF4 admin page for any of these styles (the detail tab) I have a drop down list "select saved settings to apply" that contains three additional settings called by the names I just listed above (Rasa2-Frontpage etc). Where are these settings stored? The example ones are stored in the /templates/rasa2/settings/config/sample directory but I looked everywhere and did not find these settings. Just curious as. like I said, I updated the template by installing the new version over the old one (not by replacing changed files in the Change Log list) and everything seems to be as it should. My three styles work etc. as does my saved theme.

Thanks, in advance, for your answer. It's probably not critical. Just curious. Probably should know how things work by now.

hmm yes you have a point

Its expecting a breadcrumb block and you don't have one so its overlapping for that reason

Not exactly sure if the logic can factor this in - I'll check later today

Loading a saved layout saves the file to

\templates\rasa\settings\layouts

Adding the file is

\templates\rasa\settings\config\sample

Paul,

Thanks. I do see the subpages file where you point to (layouts). I suspect that the others are not saved because I did not load them. They were just added to the list when I created a new style but did not load them.

But I do not see any other files in the sample folder.

Are we talking about the button in the top right that loads files saved from the other sites?

I'm not quite following but it has been a long week :)

Paul,

See pic. The drop list is visible and the "Load Saved Settings" button is the only right side button that I'm aware of. Am I missing something else that loads files from other sites? My comment was referring to the two comments you made about template directories.

Hi Jonathan,

The saved settings files are in the templates /settings/config folder.

They are not named after the template name as the name is subject to change so they are named after the id of the template style which is unique.

config-id.json

In the template admin, if you check on the url of the page it will have the id at the end

layout=edit&id=66

which would relate to

/settings/config/config-66.json

The example files are not associated with any templates as they do not get used so the dropdown automatically pulls all files in the sample folder and lists them by name (the name for the saved files in the list comes from the database style for the id).

Regards,

Rob

Rob, Paul,

Any resolution on the overlapping panel button when right sidebars exist?

Potentially difficult to fix because of the breadcrumb block.

Paul,

Looked further and "fixed" it with:

.mainwrap.zen-spotlight {
padding-top: 31px;
}

.main-content-inner {
padding-top: 0px;
}

As with all my "fixes" this seems to fix the problem - levels out the top of midcol and sidebar and pads the main wrap to avoid the overlap.

But I haven't thoroughly tested it, meaning it fits my single situation.

Hope this helps.

Ah ok a css solution will fix it on a case by case basis

The plan will be an update to update the logic so its not required

But thanks for posting your solution :)
