Is it possible to remove some of the white space above the footer menu?

Sure thing Michael.

Try this in your custom.css file:

.mainwrap.zen-spotlight {padding-bottom:0}

#midCol {margin-bottom:0}

Exactly, you can see on that page that I have two cutom modules in the sidebar2 and as I might put a third item there, I would like to get some of that space out.

If you check the mailing list module it has two empty p tags below the button if you remove those that should trim the space used
