Upgrading error

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Just checked and I wasn't running the latest template version.
I upgraded and getting this weird message which wasn't there before
Duplicate entry '0-0-root-*' for key 'idx_client_id_parent_id_alias_language' SQL=ALTER TABLE `bd8hq_menu` ADD UNIQUE `idx_client_id_parent_id_alias_language` ( `client_id` , `parent_id` , `alias` , `language` );

I don't see why that has appeared as it's not related I believe to the template.
Verrry weird.

If you save the template - do the issues go away?

Did you update Joomla at a similar time?

Got me thinking now
I upgraded the template and yeah I think I did because the Quick start was an older version from memory. Habit just update everything before you begin, regardless.

I would always update before starting a project - its much better to break stuff at that point

Is the error still an issue?

OK we can view this online now.
Removed any MAMP foibles, I thought going onto a live server may have resolved this

What I'm getting is the following

Warning: Database is not up to date!

Database update version (3.3.3) does not match CMS version (3.3.6).
Table 'bd8hq_menu' does not have index 'idx_client_id_parent_id_alias_language'. (From file 2.5.0-2011-12-24.sql.)
Table 'bd8hq_user_profiles' does not have column 'profile_value' with type 'TEXT'. (From file 3.3.4-2014-08-03.sql.)

Also at this page you will see the following
Warning: rtrim() [function.rtrim]: Invalid '..'-range, '..'-range needs to be incrementing in /home/growthpo/public_html/falkirk.com.au/modules/mod_zentools/includes/zenimagehelper.php on line 198

I am feeling a tad paranoid right now :woohoo:

Hi

The database - is that via extensions manager > database?

Do you get the zentools error if you re-install zentools (don't uninstall the existing version)

Database:

Extension Manager > Database
Shows this error

Database update version (3.3.3) does not match CMS version (3.3.6).
Table 'bd8hq_menu' does not have index 'idx_client_id_parent_id_alias_language'. (From file 2.5.0-2011-12-24.sql.)
Table 'bd8hq_user_profiles' does not have column 'profile_value' with type 'TEXT'. (From file 3.3.4-2014-08-03.sql.)

Click Fix and get this

Duplicate entry '0-0-root-*' for key 'idx_client_id_parent_id_alias_language' SQL=ALTER TABLE `bd8hq_menu` ADD UNIQUE `idx_client_id_parent_id_alias_language` ( `client_id` , `parent_id` , `alias` , `language` );

There is no bd8hq_menu table

Zen Tools

Updated as you suggest and no change.

The Plot thickens.

Went searching for the database errors.
I think something has gone awry with JCE big time when that was upgraded.

This url www.falkirk.com.au/jce/about/your-team has jce inserted in the path. That's not the url of the site as it's in root.

Just checked the database and that's in all menu links
Not only that all menu links have been duplicated

Hmmmm

Thinking the best thing is to resolve that duplicate bit and remove all the jce references from the menu links to begin with and then see what transpires.

Hi,

The database warnings are generally when joomla has been updated and the database updates haven't been applied. This could be from updating via ftp or that the update just didn't complete fully.

Have you tried clicking the fix button in the database area which will apply the needed update scripts for the database?

Regards,

Rob

Rob ... check out the post above yours
Shows the error before fix and the response to the fix.

Looks like I'll chase this down on the J! forum as I'm thinking that maybe the core issue is the update, causing all these other issues.

Hi Andrew,

If you create a ticket we will install ACL Manager which will be able to clear some of these issues for you.
Thanks
