Yes thats odd - getting a fix now.

Ive discovered that its related to the gzip option and have added a note here:

docs.joomlabamboo.com/zen-grid-framework-4/settings/javascript-settings.html

It's only relevant for some local hosts. But it's recommended to not use php gzip locally.

I never had GZIP turned on, neither in Joomla nor in Xero. I doubt that is the cause of the problem, at least not on my localhost.

Its hard to know what your settings have been as it sounds like they havent been saving properly.

This fixes the issue for me.

The error relates to a conflict with the gzip method and another method I have installed in Mamp. Specifically:

output handler 'ob_gzhandler' conflicts with 'zlib output compression'
