linking categories in zentools grid

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

maybe I'm being stupid, but I can't find a way to link the categories which appear in the zentools grid in position tabs to a particular page or external url

Hi

Are you using Zentools V1 or Zentools V2?

hi Paul

I bought the template package about two weeks ago and the zentools version I seem to have is Version:1.13.7 - has there been a new release since then?

Hi St,

We are in the process of moving to a new version of Zentools

However Zentools v1 is perfectly fine and is the recommended version for this template

With the category is it just an image and the category title you want to display?

Cheers

hi Paul - sorry if i wasn't clear. I can display the category titles and images with no problem - see attached jpg. What I cn't find is how to link to a specific page or external URL from the individual category: e.g. in this case, I would like to link to a different web site when the visitor clicks on "dresses".

Right

So you would need to use a gallery of images and use the external link type

The link type is changed in the general settings "link behaviour"

In the image source separator you probably want to change the + to an underscore - helps with image management via media manager and with the JCE editor

You will need to name the images in a certain way from memory something like

e.g. 1-Gallery_name.jpg
or a-Gallery_name.jpg

And then match the links to the first file - I'd try a couple of images first to get work it through
