hi guys!!!

maybe a silly question :silly:

i'm using the presto template for some gallery pages on my new site :woohoo:

now, checking some things.... i tried to fetch as google bot and i don't seem to see nor the images or the text asociated with the images or galleries.... i've seen this template is ajax based.... so, can it be crawled / read by google? if so, please how so i can better understand... :blush:

thanks a lot guys!!

hi paul! again me! :blush:

i'm testing the sitemap in presto... probably i don't know how to use it... i checked and i didn't found documentation about it in the presto docs...

when i go to the "sitemap" tab, it shows the presto templates i have on my site... with an option to check which ones do i want to add to the sitemap... i check one of them just to test and type in the corresponding URL... then click on the blue bottom "click to create sitemap" it quickly shows "generating sitemap" for about 1 second and then again "click to create sitemap" and then i don't see any change on that page...

please, where it stores the sitemap? how do i check it?

thans a looot! :cheer:

Sorry for the lack of docs on this.
You can find the site map in the sitemap folder of the template. You can submit it directly to google via the url or the file.
Thanks

hi anthony and paul!! :)

thanks for the information, i checked and i found the sitemap where you told me... thanks!!

now, please, i got a couple of questions:

01. in the sitemap i see the following:
<url>
	   <loc>http://myvacation.com.ve/#!La-laguna-y-sus-cascadas</loc>
	   <changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
	   <priority>0.5</priority>
	</url>
but the URL for that gallery isn't really that one... it is: myvacation.com.ve/venezuela/canaima/fotos.html#!La-laguna-y-sus-cascadas
(in bold the missing part)...

so, if i go to the browser and copy the sitemap URL it takes me to the site's home page....

02. the other question is that i notice that the XML file for the sitemap generates links to each gallery home page, but how does it work for the photos? i mean how google knows there are all those pictures included in that gallery? and also the captions or descriptions?

thanks a lot guys!! :cheer:

Hi :)

I'll need Anthony to answer the first part of your question

so moving on to 02 - With the link Google should scrape the page contents

hi paul!!! :cheer:

i was going to create a ticket but i think i just found the thing... :silly:

in my presto installation / tabs:

• there's the "sitemap" tab... where i've been working the creation of the sitemap...

• buuut i just "discover" that under the tab "tools" (next to "sitemap") if i scroll down, i can see also there the configuration options for the sitemap... and there, it does work great! when i click the "click to create sitemap" button, it then shows a green success message (which is not shown in the sitemap tab)...

i think somehow the sitemap configuration was repeated both in the "tools" and "sitemap" options, and as the "tools" tab is before the one working are the configurations under this tab....

don't know if what i'm trying to explain is clear... :silly:
