Responsiveness of background image

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,
Trying to get the background image to either be responsive, or to simply stay in the same ratio when the screen size changes. Right now as the screen size changes it is "morphing".

If you look at the two images, notice how to bullets in the lower portion change.

Hi Douglas,

Do you have a link for the site?

Do you get a better result with adding this to the custom.css

.bgimage {height:auto;}

Hey Paul,
Yes and no... it does help, but then when you get down to a small screen size the website gets stretched so much that it ends up with a blank spot "under" it. Any suggestions?

hmm I can't think of a way that doesn't end up with where we were in the beginning

Are you able to post in say 10 hours with the site live and I'll ask Rob to take a look (I'm not sure of his schedule however) - its midnight here in England so he has gone to bed

Cheers

Hi Douglas,

Me and Rob had a chat about this

With the template image it always going to have pros and cons

e.g. risk distortion but covering whole screen real estate or no distortion but gaps in the background

Using zentools2 slideshow might help but that would involve a bit of work re-working the template

Gotcha Paul,
Well thanks for putting the effort in... I think what I'll do is photoshop the background image so that the bottom has a gradual fade to it which may work out.
