I'm working with the client template via quickstart...and I'm trying to disable the photo thumbnails which are showing at grid13 however, it is still displaying... and this is within 2 different browsers.

I'm not sure which module you are referring to as those are skillset modules

Have you tried filtering for that module position in the module manager filters?
