I would like to have the copyright date pulled from joomla like it does by default in the footer. What is the best way to enable this?

Also the base3 template back to top arrow is not displaying.

Hi Jeremy,

Welcome on board - I'm not aware that Joomla does this automatically
I'd suggest trying an extension for this first rather than edit a template file

The copyright date is standard on any joomla install. It has been removed by the base3 template overrides.

I can change the code in the template files, but wanted to know if there was a better work around.

You can add a static date via the template copyright option but I will need to check for the override that overrides the echo of the current days date

With the back to top option - do you have JB Type enabled?

I installed JB Type and enabled it and now the Arrow for the to the top button is there! Thanks

So for now I just did a static copyright date, but would really like the dynamic date in the future. I think your templates should not strip that functionality out of joomla. I use it all the time.

Hi,

I think you should be able to add javascript to the copyright area to output the current date.

(I had to break the script tags to be able to post here so you need to add the < and > around the script tags)
