Modal links not showing in K2 User module

I've got the permissions set correctly, and the bullet point is showing where the text "Add Content" should appear, but there is no text. This is happening with all three modal links in the module (see screenshot). Any idea what is wrong?

I'd suggest all checking any other modal pop ups in content to see how this works
