Changing background color in template base 3 - mainbody

Hi,
I would like to change the background-color of main content (the section between navigation and footer) in template Base3 (default it's #fff). I created a new theme. In template.css of this theme I wrote .container background-color: #2D3235 !important;}
Now only the footer has a new background color. What can I do?

Do you have a link for the site?

Thanks

Hi

With adding styling can you you add new styling to the custom.css file?

As this makes it easier to see what you are adding or changing

Are you looking for

.container > div {background:blue}

Cheers

Hi Paul,

now it works fine! .container was wrong.
.container > div {background:blue} in custom.css was the solution.

Thanks a lot!
