Maps not showing

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

My Google Maps are not working. I am using JB Maps. When the page is still loading the map shows but then disappears when the page is finished loading. What's wrong. The attached screenshot is how it looks when the page is fully loaded. My site:

You need to add a google map api key in order to access the google server and display their map data.

Follow the instructions in the jb docs.

docs.joomlabamboo.com/joomla-extensions/jb-maps2-documentation

Ensure you have the latest version of map2 uploaded to your site.

Regarding the map comment it is the same as I made in the other thread but more precisely described by Ian :)

I have the following jb maps packg,
JB_mod_jbmaps_J2.5_J3.1_1.2.5.zip

Where exactly do I enter the api key. I have the key but I don't know where to go to enter the key.
At first I thought it was in 'Extensions->Plugins', I searched for jb and jb maps but only found jb-System Type. Then I decided to head over into the Module section where I implemented the module. But again, only fields to enter lat and long and markers and map names etc. I am not seeing where I go to enter an api key.

You are not using the latest version of maps2.

If you download and install the current version you will then see the api field in the advanced tab of the module.

Looking at the module zip name you mention it appears you may be still using the original map extension - map1, is a good few years out of date.

_jbmaps_ part should be _jbmaps2_

JB_mod_jbmaps2_J3+_1.2.4.zip is the correct file you need to grab via the link Paul gives you.

It would be good practice uninstall that version if in fact that is the issue here.

As Ian said you would be best deleting that module version as this is the previous map module we released

and installing maps2 from the page I listed above

We keep maps1 for some legacy users who had maps already installed prior to the google requiring an api

Cheers

These are the coordinates for the map I want to show:

10.427078, -61.415965

Attached is the screenshot of the module from the console and how I got the coordinates from google maps. Something is still now right. I tried typing in my country for location just to see if it will work and nothing. I entered those coordinates and it didn't work. Then I just tried typing in my country and still nothing.

Have you obtained an api key from google and entered it into the module?

The screen shot you posted shows a grey block which appears if your google api key is either missing or incorrect. You need to create the api by logging into google, see the jd docs.

Check the api is copied correctly and entered into the advanced tab of the module. It is unique to each domain.

Okay, some good results. So I have gotten a map to show. The problem was that I didn't do a google property verification for the domain, proof that I own the domain. Anyways, I want the Cycling Centre Map to show. Attached is a screenshot of the location using google maps from the search engine but that does not show on my site with url:
www.knoxttdot.com/ttcycling/

The National Cycling Centre does not show under the 'Our Location' section. The coordinates according to google are
National Cycling Centre
Couva, Trinidad and Tobago
10.426833, -61.415924

I have entered this in the module config as:

Centre latitude: 10.4268873
Centre longitude: -61.4159212

A second screenshot of what the config looks like for the module. What do I have to do to get the National Cycling Centre to show?

An odd one - Google only wants to show this when really zoomed in

It shows the nearby stadium much larger

Can you instead try adding a marker to the site?
