h2 title underline for long titles, in 2 lines

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

HI Jb team,

Can you please take a look at this image? for www.zero-g-solutions.com/zgsmarketplace/september-2014-2015.html

As you can see, Best Friends Animal Society in category blog, 2 columns, goes into 2 lines. the h2 title underline crosses through the second line of text.

Can you direct me to where I might be able to clean this up?

Pam

Gawd - so sorry -- seems I am using the creation of new forum topics to get my brain in gear :blush:

found the solution - modified size of h2 to 27.9

Thanks in advance
Pam

I'm a newbie to html and css...but I was proud of myself for actually FINDING where to change this...but it won't let me select anything that far down in the css.template file? (It would farther up in the template). Actually, the screen keeps locking up on me when I scroll down the page further. I've logged out a few times and returned, hoping it would correct itself. Not locking up on any other page I'm on.

Please help, as I'm having the same issue as zgsgpsweb in this case.

OK, I figured out that it was my Google Chrome that was locking me up for some reason on that particular page. So I opened it in Firefox and was able to access it. Still haven't found the right spot to change the file size...the one I thought it was ISN'T the one.

Here's the page I'm struggling with (obviously the header text is too large):

Hi

First of all please don't edit / change any css files other than the custom.css file

Any other file will see you lose changes on a template update or compile from LESS to CSS

If not familiar with the custom css file please check out this thread

Once you have the custom.css renamed and you know where it is please try adding this

h1 {
font-size: 22px;
line-height: 32px;
}

But I would look to shorten the text of that title by reducing the words used :)
Especially on the menu

hi Becka,

the only way I was able to work around it was to modify the H2 in custom.css as Paul suggested.

h2 {
margin: 10px 0;
font-size: 27px;
line-height: 40px;
clear: both;
}
I tried changing the padding between the lines, but didn't like the effect.

Because it underlines the font/text not the overall section, I ran into this issue with long titles. So I am not sure if maybe breaking your title into 2 with a subtitle might help as well?

Hope this helps,
Pam

Hmm,

Paul, yes, I see that it's H1, not H2 as in mine.

thanks for the link on the css...I'll make sure i change the right file. do I need to copy and paste the entire css onto the custom page or just the little bit that I need to change? (I THINK its the latter)
