Module positions

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello :)

Is there a document referring all positions of the template in order to have a global vision of module positioning?

Another question. In the dropdown list of positions, what is the list that has to be taken into account: custom positions or template positions (Newlifestyle). Why there are two lists that are almost identical?

Thank you ;)

Point 2 is a good question :) - Not entirely sure of that one

I'd probably say the custom positions are positions added that are different than the default T3 layout but I will check with the developers on that one

Hello,… thank you for the modules document.

If I ask this question is because I found in the custom position list many positions that are not included in the official document that you sent me, such: accordionboxed, accordionflat, project1, belowcontent, popover, zentools, tabs, styles, slider, panel1, filter, list, list2, …
Where are these positions in the template? Some of these positions are referred to Zentools modules.

Thank you

Ah

Right ok

Those are loadposition positions e.g. made up and added to the article. With referencing zentools thats just for ease of use they could be called anything

… I think that I don't really understood how these positions are created. They are automatically generated when you create a Zentools module ?

Joomla comes with a core plugin called loadposition

Its used a lot to embed modules into articles - its not specific to any module - can be any module

Its a really good feature

It works by typing a made up position name e.g pauls in the position box

You assign the module to all pages and make sure its published

and in the article you add the loadposition syntax

{loadposition pauls} in this case

We use loadposition a lot across all demo sites and all the Joomla Bamboo sites

… am I wrong or this core plugin doing exactly what "Modules Anywhere" by Nonumber does?

Modules anywhere is more flexible but is an extra plugin to maintain and update while loadposition is a joomla core option

so its down to what you need really
