menu_icon not showing up

when I resize my screen to mobile phone width, the little icon (image attached of what it should look like) is not showing up, although when I click on the spot where it should be the side menu shows up.

Is there a setting that should be changed?

Sounds like you need to install JB Type

or

You need to make sure the JB Type plugin is enabled
