Menu absent

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Sorry I'm sure this is something obvious.

www.holmfirthhead.co.uk/

My menu won't appear.

I've selected the 'menu' module position for the module assigned to this menu.

I've chosen the 'default' template layout which does include a menu, I think.

I've tried the menu in another position and it does appear (but doesn't look like a menu.)

Am I missing something?

I'm trying it in position Grid 1 - it does appear in that position. I just need to find the styling. It would still be better in the 'menu' position if that is possible.

It should work in the menu position

Can you add it to there so we can take a look at it

Sure. It's published in the menu position now - and invisible. (By the way I'm wanting a standard horizontal menu, not a vertical one). I have no menu of module class suffixes assigned.

Sounds like a setting combined with JB Type not being either installed or enabled

I've enabled it.

Now I get this:

I really want a standard horizontal menu - a bit like the one in the screenshot that you saw.

Sounds like the screen you are working on is displaying less than the collapse value of 1040px

If you view larger than that it will display the menu

My display is 1024 x 768 - a very standard display if a bit old.

There is space next to the logo on the right to display the menu. Instead I'm getting the menu icon to click on, which unfolds the menu to the left and moves the rest of the display right.

Surely it's one type of menu or the other?

Isn't there a way to get a horizontal menu displaying nicely onmy screen with this template?

Its the screen width - the default template has collapse value higher than the screen both on the laptop and on the ipad

I'd suggest upgrading the laptop if you are using XP

To change the collapse width you need to edit it in theme magic

Thanks for making all that clear. Where in theme magic do you change the collapse width?

sorry but I still can't see that - which menu heading is it under? I've checked them all three times - must be missing it ?! Or is there a newer version? I downloaded and installed yesterday.

Can you attach a screenshot of the theme magic grid section so we can see what you have?
