zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I really need help. All of the sudden, the sliders are not bringing the light boxes up.

Huh. I went to look at what version, and it gave me weird info. See the screenshot attached.
Perhaps I need to re-install??

At the moment it is saying it is missing jquery which is odd as it seems to want it installed per module via the module itself (jquery is already installed in the template)

This shouldn't work but then not sure any body has used lightboxes in slides before

Try loading jquery inside one zentools module and see what happens

You said the query is already installed via the template. Can I see this?

Its this bit - I can't add the full line due to it being js

/media/jui/js/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript">

Do you have any pages with a gallery in on a standard article?

okay, I see. js files . .. that's what you mean by it is in the template.

So, recent changes would be: modifying the images, setting the gzip compression to yes, turning on conservative caching, and . . . I can't remember the third thing . . . . I'm thinking . . .

Turned off. I also installed Perfect AJAX Popup Contact Form; but, it is not enabled. Doubtful the source of trouble. Waiting to see if the caching thing is the trouble . . .

Yup. I turned off caching and badda-bing, the light boxes work. I'm going to see what happens when I do progressive caching vs conservative . . .

don't do that its worse for a site

Use the plugin caching option and stop zentools being cached

If you are looking for more speed try using css and js compression from the template options

I think you do need global caching to be on before you can set nocaching in the advanced tab of a zentools module rather than the plugin option

Any caching can break any dynamic module like zentools

Thanks, Paul; you are always so helpful.

Yeah—the article mentions that "there could be functionality that does not work well with caching, like some captcha's, forms webshop extensions (Virtuemart, Hikashop a.o.)" I turned caching off in global config. and the light boxes work, but now my loading is bad: 3-4 seconds of loading before the home page even appears. The js and css compression don't touch this. I'll see if there is any work-around, but I am a tad pessimistic. I don't know if I can get the load time decreased for this client. Bummer, eh?

Have a lovely evening!

Sincerely,
Maria Lara
