Making Captify Content look like Grid2

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

I installed Captify Content and the JB Library to create a gallery for my client (I'm using your Strata template): www.liaprogram.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=55

The only problem is that I only see options for placing the pic title at the top or bottom.

How can we create the transparency effect as seen in Grid2 where the whole square gets covered with transparency and the title appears in the middle?

Also, is there a way to change the % of transparency?

Lastly, is there a way to center and change the font size of the pic title?

Thanks so much for your help as always!!

Hi Anthony,

Thanks so much for your quick reply. No, actually, I didn't do anything further. In my Firefox Browser in the installation of Captify and JB Library in Strata, I only have the option to have the title appear over a slice at the bottom or top at hover.

On Grid2, the transparency covers the whole square and the title is centered in it.

How do I get those settings? I do not see them available in my installation.

Thanks again,
Valerie

Hi Valerie,

If you don't see those options then you have an older version. You should update to the latest version.

Hi Seth,

I downloaded what looked like the newest versions from your extension page on Wednesday.

Can you please send me the link to the page with the newest version of Captify that will produce full image transparent and centered title results, as shown on the Grid2 homepage?

Thank you!

Hi Valerie,

The newest version should be 1.4.7 you can check this in

extensions > install/uninstall >modules and you will see a list of versions with version numbers
versions_2011-03-18.jpg

The latest version of JBlibrary should be 1.2.9

The extensions can be found here if you've not already found them
www.joomlabamboo.com/joomla-extensions/joomla-extensions

Are those the versions you've got?

Thanks

Ok, wow, well, you were right, I had .6 installed of Captify. I've just installed 7, the newest. Thank y ou.

But, while the square gets completely covered now, the program is acting really strange. It will only slide in from the top or bottom. It definitely will not "fade" over the picture, as in Grid2.

Freaky.

Please take a look: www.liaprogram.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=55

My settings are as follows:

Image Overlay
Light Background
Fade
Bottom
800
800
Yes

Please advise me on how I can get the transition to appear like Grid2.

Also, is there a way to change the transparency of the overlay?

Thank you for your help very much.

Hi Valerie,

I had a look at this for a hour or two yesterday night (GMT) and I've asked Anthony to take a look.

I can't replicate the demo either but can in version 1.4.5 but not in 1.4.6 or 1.4.7

I could well be wrong :)

Sorry for any delay to your project
Thanks

Could you send me the link to version 1.4.5, so that I can duplicate it too? That would be awesome!

Thanks so much, Paul

Thanks, Paul. Hmm, my client probably won't want the bugs. I'll wait till Anthony can help make 1.4.7 look and behave like it does in Grid2.

P.S., I'm going to uninstall 1.4.7. It is stuck on slide and won't fade. Very strange.

I'm going to use 1.4.6 instead for now.

Thanks so much,
Valerie
