toggle menu on mobile - add a close box?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

On one site I have running, someone has reported being unable to close the off-canvas togglemenu on his iphone. Is there supposed to be a close box? Is there a way to add one?

--> live link <-- (Motion onepage)

Confirmation: the menu gets stuck open on the iphone, chrome and safari.

as this may be a known issue (problem also exisits in WP), I checked stackoverflow and saw this possible solution. Thoughts? And where do you recommend I try implementing this?

I'll need to ask a developer on this

I think it would be a plugin change rather than a template but will ask for guidance on this one

this is the stackoverflow answer with the green checkmark
Bootstrap's default setting is to keep the menu open when you click on a menu item. You can manually override this behaviour by calling .collapse('hide'); on the jQuery element that you want to collapse.

The sticky option is disabled on mobile as devices moved buggy in their implementation of it - especially iPhones

So we along with other software developers disabled it on mobile

Yeah that why we disabled the sticky feature - the off canvas is an issue we are looking at

I think I was partially wrong with the reasons for implementation and check with Anthony regarding adding a button and the sticky effect

Hi David,

Sticky should be disabled across all mobile devices. Thats the intended result.
The main reason behind this is I find fixed position elements a real pain on mobile devices and alot of devices have a back to top function built into the the device which makes it relatively easy to get back up to the nav.
Thanks
