Frontpage load time for Insideout Template

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I asked my Hoster for a fresh Joomla installation with the insideout template files and that he did. A strange problem occured though: it takes more then half a minute to load the front page. Navigating within the magazin works like a charm - just calling the frontpage seems like taking forever. Is this a known problem? Did we do something wrong? I searched the forum but couldn't find a question like this one.

You might want to look at: magazin.das-schwangerschafts-erlebnis.de

It would be great if one of you guyes would know a way out ... :-)

thanks in advance

Hi Ray,

We had an issue with a previous version of the JB Library plugin not caching images. Are you using v1.2.8 of the Library?

Here's what the Template Manager says:

Overview

* Template Version: 1.1.1
* Current Logo Location: /templates/jbinsideout/images/logo/logoBlue.png

You need to go to the install / uninstall > plugins screen to see which version of JB LIbrary you have.

Thanks Anthony

OK, just uninstall that version and then install the latest version. That should fix it for you.

works like a charm :-) ... well, umm, now the "featured article" is gone ... but I try to check this one out on my own first (I'm not a lazy guy) and will give a call if I don't get it done :-)

THANK YOU!!! :-)

Ok - I couldn't figure it out how to fix this:

As mentioned before, the url gets loadid real quick now since I exchanged the jquerey plugin. Unfortunately the featured articles aren't displayed anymore. Not only this, also a lot more items are shown beneath the six intro articels on the front page.

This is strange since I realy didn't change anything at all but the titles and the pictures of the articles from the democontent - simply because I wanted to make sure everything looks the way it should before I start anything at all ...

I checked with the sources but since the sources didn't change ... what else could be checked out?

You may need to re-apply the settings in the Slideshow module, as that was displaying the images at the top of the front page.

In particular, check the source for the slideshow. If you are still having trouble, please just create a Support Ticket and we can get it fixed for you. Thanks.
