But you can also test ist with the live preview of the italian template!
When you reduce the width of your browser, the footer disappear!

hmm you are right a pretty major mistake there from one of the developers.

@media screen and (max-width: 769px) {
#footerwrap #footer {display: inherit;}
}

Can you add this to the custom.css file

on a desktop all is perfect!
on mobile, there is a dark background over the slider.
you can see the different on the 2 screenshots.

try adding

@media screen and (max-width: 769px) {
.fixed #toolbar.zen-row-wrap {background:none !important;}
}

This makes the background transparent

You have inline styling for the font colour so I'd remove that so the text becomes green
