Increasing size of sidebar for specific page

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi There!

Please goto:

sanjorgeecolodges.com/tours/bird-photo-tours/5-day-bird-photo-tour

My sidebar module needs to be at least 20% wider but only on this particular page. It has to remin the current size in other pages. How can I do this?

Thanks!

Hi

You would need to duplicate the template style and change the width

Then assign the style to the particular page

Hi Paul,

How would that be done? Can that be done from Joomla? It seems like it would be a very complex task.

Thanks

Hi Jorge,

With Joomla you assign templates to pages or set a default template which is assigned to all pages

So its a case of duplicating an existing template style and assigning this to the page you want

and then changing the module widths

You may want to save the layout of an existing template style as a new named layout file

and then load the layout in your new template style

Hi Paul!

Thank you it was easy to set this up.

Can you please let me know if the pages that have a different layout should be turn-off from the default template menu assigment.

I think as long as you assign the individual page you don't need to change the default assignment
