Aussie Template

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello
I am about to use the Aussie template, just wondering... there has been no other templates released for 2017. Is this a trend? Should we be worried about Jbamboo and the future of their templates?
There has not been any further templates in months...

Hi

We are still working on releases however their frequency for the next few months will vary I'm afraid.

JoomlaBamboo together with several other template companies has seen declining use of Joomla. With Joomla market share falling together with more providers offering templates has left the market a bit saturated.

For Joomla Bamboo to survive we have had to make changes to ensure continue our viability going forward. Support levels haven't changed.

Can you enlighten us to what you might be working on? If not a Joomla... what do you think is the future? I personally would be interested in supporting this...

We are still working on Joomla releases just not as fast - we have 5 or 6 designs either completed or nearly finished.

We will continue to develop with Joomla but as we have said previously we plan to offer Wordpress themes as well.

Speaking personally it is hard to disagree that Wordpress doesn't dominate the CMS marketplace.

Joomla as with other open source software must up it's game - however again speaking personally I do prefer Joomla but I am biased :)

I understand your point of view, and one template every month is a big challenge ! So 3-4 templates a year with high quality is ok for me :)

Good thread, understand your position with Joomla and Wordpress.

However need to ensure our clients future safety and compatibility.

Are we good to go with Joomla 3.7 and the current versions of the framework and modules??

Thanks

Hi Greg,

Can you hold off updating if using the buildr for now - there is a glitch with buttons

OK, we have started a few new sites with 3.7 and buildr
Will watch for other issues and let you know.
Hopefully you will have the button issue fixed before we go live in a month or so.

Regards
Greg

So far we are waiting feedback from members over a couple of issues but so far problems seem to be users updating to php7 and joomla 3.7 at the same time

With this release of joomla there is a warning on users sites if using php5.6 so it is encouraging people to upgrade which is a good thing but is causing problems to users sites

zentools1 & 2 and latest framework versions are compatible with php7

Cheers
