Using Utafiti in existing Buildr site

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Saw this in the blog, wondering what I need to know. (And does the same situation apply to Highline2, if I go that route.)

If you need to upload Utafiti to an existing build.r site please contact support prior to install and we can advise you how best to do this, as we are currently re-working the child theme process.

Thanks.

Hi

Are you working on a development site rather than the live site?

I think with this I'd need to know if you are planning to use highline2 or Utafiti ideally

Paul-- I'm working on a live site that is being developed. I was trying to avoid taking a position re: template until I could see what it looked like the content I have. Are you saying that I should pick one and run with it?

I still think I might choose Aussie if I could get rid of the waves.

I apologize, not a very clear answer on my part. If I could, I would mix and match.

Hi Micheal,

Highline2 should be fine with the site

With aussie it is a little more complex

With the waves you could remove them using custom.css

Is Aussie still the template you are going to use alongside buildr?

Cheers

Paul--

Thanks for the reply. I switched to Utafiti and used the QuickInstall. Working my way through the buildr documentation was very helpful however. I now understand the usage of Load Saved Settings, Save Theme and Save.

How are things set for 3.7? I read somewhere that you were recommending waiting on the upgrade.

Hi Michael,

I know of 3 issues

caching doesn't work following this Joomla update

We have two problems with buildr
1. the tab is slightly obscured on the template settings load
2. Extra fields in front end editing is not displaying

Cheers
