Colourshift2: Menu Drop down doesn't show on hover and 2 other menu issues

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello -

sabina100.cloudaccess.host/

I have studied the quickstart demo and as far as I can tell I have the same drop down menu settings. But somethings aren't working in my site the way they do in the quickstart demo

1. the menu dropdowns on my site don't show automatically when hovering over a top level parent item. Some were showing earlier but now none of them show at all.

2. when the menu dropdowns were showing they don't pick up the background colors I set in the Buildr framework. See colors I want attached.

3. Also mentioned in an earlier post to the forum The width is set to be 1200 pixels wide. I want the top menu to also be 1200 pixels wide, the width of the slideshow. In the demo the menu matches the width of the template. How can i set the width of the menu to match the template width.

4. How can I customize the size of the main menu font if I want it to be different than the default base font size? I couldn't find a place in the Buildr framework where i can set a custom font size for the menu.

Thank you
Sharon

Hi Sharon,

Can you check drop downs are enabled in the menu

Looked at this for a while to see why you are missing classes - it might be why

No you don't

At the moment the ul class is different and that is causes styling to not apply

really? I don't? I see the plugin in the extension manager.
It looks enabled. I'll look again

This site was originally built in Motion and I just moved it to the new module position.

I uninstalled Zen Menu 1.1.1

I then installed JB_zenmenu_J3+_1.2.0.zip
It seems to have reinstalled Zen Menu 1.1.1.
Do I have the correct Zen Menu plugin installed?

Here is a possible clue as to the problem.

I moved a module called Outreach Organizations from a row position to the Tabs position. After making this change in position the readmore buttons lost the styling they had in the row position ( white text on a primary button) and now have dark blue text.

on an unrelate note for the tabs can you try adding

.zen-nav.zen-nav-tabs li.active a, .zen-nav.zen-nav-tabs li.active span {
border-bottom-color: #fff;
}

Thank you. I will do that right away. I am going to try to launch the site in the new template tomorrow morning - which means I'll pretty much unpublish everything else that isn't working yet ( like blockquotes) and fix it for later. But the legible mainmenu dropdowns I'll need plus the across the page look will help alot.

That might sound crazy but this really the live site saintsabina.org - which has outgrown the motion template, same exact content in a new template - so it can be done...
