Joomla update error, Joomla inaccesible

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi!

I tried to make the upgrade from Highline2 Joomla 3.6.2 to 3.6.5, but it stopped at 12% with "Ajax error".
Then, trying to fix the database, Joomla has become inaccessible, with white page with these errors:

Warning: require_once(/web/htdocs/www.ilcasaledelcolonnello.it/home/vinc/libraries/platform.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /web/htdocs/www.ilcasaledelcolonnello.it/home/vinc/libraries/import.legacy.php on line 42

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/web/htdocs/www.ilcasaledelcolonnello.it/home/vinc/libraries/platform.php' (include_path='.:/php5.6/lib/php/') in /web/htdocs/www.ilcasaledelcolonnello.it/home/vinc/libraries/import.legacy.php on line 42

Thanks!

Hi

Do you have a backup of the site?

What version of php are you running on the site?

Cheers

Hi!
Yes, I've restored the previous version of the site. Maybe must I upgrade manually from Joomla 3.6.2 to 3.6.5?
Please, see the attached screenshot.
Thanks!

The site is actually on http://lnx..... instead of http://www... Is this a problem for automatic upgrade?

With this as per the joomla.org documentation you would click the fix button in the top left corner

I'm not really sure why the installation failed

You could download an akeeba file using Akeeba backup and try locally first?

Hi!
Highline2 is compatible with joomla 3.6.5?
I tried again the automatic update, but it displays the message:

"ERROR: AJAX Loading Error: Internal Server Error"

Thanks and cheers!

Hi

The errors listed are Joomla core errors rather than a template or extension

How are you updating? - via the Joomla update component?

Under components is it showing any reference to ajax?

Is anything in the discover?

Is the ajax component listed in the template extension list?

Are all the site permissions writable?

What host are you using?

by-clicking-on-ajax-interface-in-components-menu.jpg

-In discover there is nothing
-What is "template extension list"?
-All files and folders are writeble except configuration.php.
-I use Aruba.it on double hosting: hosting_linux+hosting_windows.
Thanks!

At some point a joomla update you carried out hasn't worked correctly

Have you used discover to install any joomla update?

I'd try this but making sure you have a copy of the database right

Hi!
I have a backup of the database before I fix it. But as we have seen, it has an error.
Before it I did not do any updates, except the changes that you have indicated me in previous forums.

Hi

This is a Joomla core issue unrelated to a template or JB extension

As the extension is displaying in the components menu I would try what is suggested in the joomla org doc
