Highline font color change

Paul-- I need some direction re: how to change the font color in the Buildr/Highline2 template.

I went to: Extensions --> Template --> Style --> Buildr - Highline, then Design --> Style --> Colors --> Text Color and made the change. I then Saved & Closed the file.

The end result was a blank white page on the Frontend.

Where did I slip up?

Are you able to access the admin?

If so can you change error reporting to maximum in the global configuration

I didn't expect a response on this until tomorrow. I'm fairly certain that it is about 2 in the morning for you.

I restored a backup and just kept working, thinking that I could sort things out with you later.

Did I follow the correct steps to change the font color to start with?

My goal is to darken the main text color and if possible lighten the module text color (with the black background) at the bottom.

But, to answer your question, I can change error reporting to the maximum, although I'm not sure what I could to do with it after.

I'm more than happy to deal with this tomorrow, my wife and granddaughter will be home soon and I'm thinking you might enjoy some sleep.

You are right 2am :)

A white screen is an error - a fatal error
So turning up error reporting to maximum can list the error responsible

The error can be displayed either on screen or in the source code (sometimes the error isn't viewable in the browser but is in the source code)

Error reporting at maximum is a troubleshooting tool to see what the error is - with the backup being restored Maximum it is no longer required

It is too sensitive for normal development work but is useful on a white screen

With the white screen I'd say its something more serious than just a template glitch

But fingers crossed

Just got called to dinner. So, I should leave error control as is, and try again. Did I attempt to change the font color correctly and do I simply hit the save button when done or is there another step in between that I missed.

I won't see your response until tomorrow, so no hurries.

I changed the text to 6d6d77. It's currently 333333.

Just checking my mail before I walk out the door.

Yes, I tried again today. Same problem. Viewing from the frontend is a blanl page. You can go from page to page if you know the proper URLs, but all is blank. Backend works fine.

I simply restored the site again and went back to work. I'll try and tackle this again tomorrow.

Do you think reloading a fresh copy of the Highline template would help any?

No need for reply today/tonight, I have an appointment in 20-minutes and won't check back until tomorrow.
